CABIN ASSEMBLY
Before purchasing your log cabinn please check with your local authorities whether you need to get a planning permission. Usually it is not required if cabin is up to 30 m2 living area. Howeher, some times, without a permission for a cabin, maximum eave high may be up to 2,5 m high.
Anyway, in most cases getting permission is much easier than people think. We will be happy to provide all necessary schemes and plans of the cabin.
Foundation of log cabin is very important.
Correctly prepared foundation is one of the most important things for a cabin structure. So, please make it ideally flat.
Assembling Log Cabin kit, Log house or Garage should take place during dry weather only. If it start raining during the assembling process, the wood should be covered over.

We recommend you to follow next stages of Log cabin erection:

1.        Sort all parts firstly, according to their length and logs position. All logs and parts have a stickers, which will help you to rapidly find it position in log cabin. Note -  Please see explification of each wall before. Fist number of wall logs means level, starting from the  bottom. Usually one walls corresponds to certain axis on cabin scheme. If, for instance, wall log number on the sticker is 1-B-12 you should read as first log from the bottom, on axis B.
2.        Firstly laid the foundation bearers, which goes from the left to the right wall of log cabin. It is recommended to fix them to foundation, at least in the corners of cabin.
3.        Start from the half boards. Usually they are for front and back of the cabin.
4.        Following the list of details it is important to note the position the windows in the cabin. It is essential for the window to be in their position, not too high or not too low. Please check the wall explification to insure the correct number of logs under the window.
Please ensure what each next top log is fully laid on the bottom log and no gap left. Use screws to fix the logs if necessary. It is very important  as further gaps may occur in the top of eaves and gable of the cabin. In the package you will find some extra boards with no stickers for hammering wall boards. Don’t hammer directly to the wall bard just with scutch.
5.        When walls are erected, put roof rafters.  It is advisable to screw  the top wall logs if the cabin is erected in windy area. Please contact us if you need further information.
When the external walls reach the height of the gables the doors and windows can be installed.
Very important - Please attach the wind boards provided for the door and window surrounds to the window/door frame only. Do not attach direct to the cabin walls in order to allow the cabin wall to settle once built.
6.        Floorboards and fascia boards are fitted the last.
7.        As soon as the roof is installed it should be sealed immediately with roofing felt and/or bitumen tiles – which are supplied as optional extras. We think what bitumen tiles is the best solution for your log cabin.

After completion, the cabin should be immediately protected with an appropriate paint or wood treatment.
